You shouldn't get drunk if you've got nothing better to do than post on the internet.

Actually, never mind, I guess you should.

Aww, you guys. Yellow Blush

My drunk posts have lapsed a bit recently. My new drunk habit is turning into Atlas from Bioshock and shouting at strangers about saving me wife and kids from Rapture in an Irish accent. Also, I don't actually remember how I got home last night. I think it may have been the work of the magic taxi.

Also, cash machine receipts taste like pickled onion crisps. I only etten a bit of one though. Well, about half.

Current favourite from my phone's outbox from last night:
Quote:
4 mish i lived po6ner, goj bu4t kg : cyje d€ dt

I particularly like the euro sign creeping in there.

This is a general comment rather than me pissing on anyone's parade but I don't find drunks that funny. I mean when I was 7 or so the idea appealed but now I know what it actually entails they either scare or irritate me.

There are some exceptions, though.

I was pretty tired when I read this (or was I drunk LOL what relevance it would be), so I completely mis-read your post, and thought that you were talking about how when you were 7 a drunk guy pee'd on you, and you've hated them and alcohol ever since. I was writing a whole "how painful!" response when I re-read what you posted and was like WTF!!!

I wouldn't normally explain this but it's really confusing, I keep checking the post to make sure it wasn't about drunks peeing on you.

I wouldn't expect the Commodore--of all people--to post while drunk.

Strange.

Really? Assuming said drunken-ness is a given, he'd be one of my top candidates for "drunken postan".

Remember kids, posting while drunk doesn't mean you're at a crazy party having the sax - it means you're not. Unless Commie was getting crunked and then was like "DUDES YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD MAKE THIS PARTY SOOOO WILD, IF WE POSTED ON FCMIDI!!!!!!!!" and then did so.

Gawd, now I'm imagining things. 50 kids surrounding a butt-naked Commie, all chanting "Post! Post! Post!" as he gleefully pounds away at the keyboard.

This reminds me of the time Amy Winehouse was drunk on Buzzcocks.

The nation laughed at her crayzee antics save for me who saw an inebriated douche being taken advantage of.

Once again, Amy Winehouse fails to entertain me.

I know. She's just a constant disappointment.

Yeah, not only that, but there's a bunch of young ones on FCMidi who can't even buy alcohol for private consumption. If they drank, it would pretty much HAVE to be at a party. That's the boat I'm in anyway.

She's not that bad.

I mean, yeah, she was shite on Buzzcocks, and I'm not rushing out to buy her albums, but her singing isn't that bad. Shame she's doing her level best to make her career implode.

Yeah, it's always amazing to me when these celebrities throw away so much for so little. Alright, if you're down and out, and you get yourself drunk to forget about how crappy your life's become, that's one thing, but she's a relatively successful singer who was slated to win several Grammys even, (I didn't watch to see if she won, anyone know?) but no... No! She needed to drink herself into a stupor in public so much that they put her away!

I mean come on, when millions of dollars are on the line how can anyone be that narrow-minded and stupid?

It's because humans don't have any sense of proportion, of course. That's why rich people always want more: because people are in a constant state of thinking that what they have is the norm and that they want to have more than the norm, regardless of how much they actually have.

I should build a machine that gives people a sense of proportion by recreating the whole universe from a fairy cake and showing it to the viewer. Hmm... lol reference,

Yeah, your statement about people always wanting more is right on the money, but then it just begs the question even more - why throw it away? What exactly did Amy Winehouse gain by drinking her brains out? A 'fun night on the town'? This is what I don't understand - if she was like any logical, coherent, normal human being, when given the oppurtunity to win one of the highest awards in music, which could easily propel her career to a new level, she'd think "Alright, I just have to stay under the radar for a bit - after the grammies, I can party all I want, no one will think anything of it, cause it's the grammies and I'll deserve to celebrate."

But nooooo! A bit of abstinance was too much to ask! She couldn't handle abstaining from drinking, to be rewarded with tons of fame, popularity, love, and hell, money! The challenge was too immense!!!

I dunno, man. I gotta believe if it was you or I or anyone else in that situation, we'd play it cool, grab our prizes, and be done with it. The rampant stupidibity of people who are offered so much and continuously slap it away is really depressing.

(Not to turn this into a tabloids thread or anything <_<)

I'm actually kind of surprised by this too.

But hey, whatever. I find it interesting that you don't type well at all, but some people do alright, mostly.

I think for me there's a threshhold that I cross to incoherency. I can be pretty drunk and still text and type perfectly, then I'll have one more drink and absolute bollocks starts spewing out. Odd.

I really should not be allowed anywhere near a phone when drunk. Dallas can testify to this.
