Got a bit of a riddle for you guys today: What starts with "S", rhymes with "fizzers", and is almost an entire bloody year late?
...I don't know, either. Oh well. Thanks anyway. _________________ ""

odd time signatures make my special area swell with joy and emit "happiness juices"
and i FORKING LORV the percussion only section
A+ link, would click again, except I've already saved the song to 5 separate external hard drives so there's not much point |

Huzzah! Yeah, I've always been a fan of quirky time signatures, myself. My hard drive is positively littered with unfinished tunes written in 7/8, 5/4, fun stuff like that. But I'd never attempted something in 11/8 before, so I'm pleased it came out sounding at least relatively cohesive.
Also, percussion sections FTW. Let it never be said that I've forgotten my roots as a musician. _________________ "" |

Epic.
I'll take a look once I get to a spot that's relatively quiet (i.e. perhaps never ). _________________ This post has been brought to you by

This could be the theme for the first stage of a popular shoot-'em-up, like R-Type. _________________
But you can probably drop me and tell Lester to do my panel instead, since he's already gay and frankly I really don't care about my sexual orientation.
|

This has easily just become my favourite track of yours. I love it! I guess it is no secret that I am a big sucker for fun with rhythms and other fusiony stuff. You're pushing BUTTONS man, good ones.
The bass reminds me of Mark King of Level 42: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5a61b1fGwIs |

I HAVE BEEN SHOWN UP AGAIN, THIS TIME ON ASYMMETRIC METER
I do wish I could write good percussion parts. I guess because I have no drumming roots and no real drumming experience I can't. Actually playing set over at my friend's house a few times really helped me out though... seriously. But the day I actually write a good part for set will be very very long from now.
But enough about me. I shouldn't have even said that. This is a cool-ass song. Although by no means my favorite, it's pretty dang cool and I have a lot of respect for what you've done. Tough stuff. Keep up the good work, sergeant, and maybe one day many years from now I'll approach making something this awesome.
Crap I did it again.
THIS SONG IS REALLY GREAT.

@CM: Well, here's hoping you still think it's epic when you actually get to listen to it.
@Fragg: Ooer, that works. I've never played R-Type, so I'll take your word for it.
@Izzhov: Psh! Don't let that stop you. I've never been officially diagnosed with ADD, but I have taken a couple of online tests with interesting results.
@Lune: Sweet! I like pushing buttons. Oh, and I see what you mean! (Man is that one kickarse video.)
@Damian: Haha, no way, your piece was unique because you kept switching the meters up like a madman! All I did was pick one meter and go with it. Also, lolz. Much appreciated.
@Tim: Yay, thanks! DO EET. _________________ "" |

I'm gonna say it, and you're not gonna like it:
I absolutely hate the intro.
Maybe that's because of my natural dislike for all asymmetric meters ('cept 3/4, naturally). It just sounds so "yeah, let's jam to the be-- oh, the next measure sta-- crap, there's the nex-- dang it, these are ending too quic-- AARAGSRGD".
Once the song picks up, though, and the melodies start kicking in and such, it's actually a really enjoyable song, and didn't sound too awkward to me at all. So I say to you, sir, fantastic work! I might have a more detailed analysis later when I don't have a cloudy head. |

It's just hard because after I come up with a cool riff or something I get bored of it before I'm done adding enough crap to it for it to be considered a song and then some time passes and the whole cycle repeats all over again and
HEY LOOK A BUTTERFLY
*runs off to chase said butterfly* |

I'm actually gonna echo Fragg on this one. Particularly the middle portion of the song sounds very VG-esque.
I'm not as much a fan of the percussion sections, but I've never been one to really appreciate them as they probably should be. *shrug*
Good stuff, as always.

Yeah but I've been officially diagnosed with ADD by a psychologist and I think the losing interest on projects is a direct result of that. |

Well I'm just saying, it's not unique to ADD people. A lot of us have projects that we lose interest in. So I kinda doubt it's caused by the ADD. _________________ This post has been brought to you by

One of my best friends was telling me that a lot of really intelligent people have a kind of quasi ADD (not really clinically I don't think) just because their minds get bored with one thing and drift off to something else.
That's not really relevant to projects per se, but I thought it was interesting... _________________ when the world is sick, can't no one be well? but i dreamt we was all beautiful and strong
