I recently read about this series of games in the FCWiki, and they look interesting, so I have a request: is there any way you "big people" could port the Boredom 64 Series for the TI-89, and then post it on the web for all to download? Pretty please?
Also, if this should be in a different section, please move it accordingly. _________________ BRAND NEW FCMidi Forums! |

Even so, I'd still like to try them. I guess you don't have to if it's too much work though... _________________ BRAND NEW FCMidi Forums! |

Haha.
Why would you have a TI-89? they're like, outlawed on all major tests everywhere.
I've made some simple lulzy programs on my 84. They never cease to amuse my friends and I, anyway. Though these days they're more concerned with my friend's crappy, stupid tomagochi program. _________________ when the world is sick, can't no one be well? but i dreamt we was all beautiful and strong

I have an 89 and an 83+.
Was it your friend who made the program, or did your friend just download it? _________________ BRAND NEW FCMidi Forums! |

They were made on the 83+ because that's pretty much all we had/have. It'd be easier to port them to VB or VBscript than to the 89, unless someone here can do it. For all I know it may take a fairly solid rewrite. _________________ Some things are best read out of context.

She made it. It's really, really abysmally bad, but it is entertaining to mess with. None of us are really good programmers or anything, we just do it for fun.

I'm pretty sure it would take a rewrite actually... =/ _________________ when the world is sick, can't no one be well? but i dreamt we was all beautiful and strong

Boredom 64 - are we talking Kevin's 1-9 and the like?
Those were pretty ancient, yeah, and all the jokes applied to a small circle of friends that wouldn't really be picked up nor found amusing by anyone here. I didn't even get half of them, to be honest. |

So... is that an "no," then? _________________ BRAND NEW FCMidi Forums! |

Is that supposed to mean "only maybe" or "barely maybe?" _________________ BRAND NEW FCMidi Forums! |

I read a few of them and I didn't get half the jokes.
I recently created a new episode to the series while en route to Fruit's wedding. It involves what I guess is an alternate future from episode 7, wherein Fruity's spleen goes missing and he mysteriously disappears in search of it. Then a team consisting of myself, Lucca, Orb, JK, Commy, Dragon, and another random n00b who to my knowledge doesn't go here (by the name of Andy; he has a theme) all follow him to an island (which is actually the ruins of a formerly floating castle), at which point he finds his spleen which inexplicably turns into an evil version of Fruity. A crude RPG-style battle engine then runs (I was known for writing them into the bulk of my programs). Each of the 7 party members (Fruity himself cannot damage his doppelganger) has an attack, whereas the evil Fruity has such attacks as playing a recorder, firing a gun that shoots onion rings, and dividing by zero.
At any rate, if we were going to translate them into any workable format, we'd probably have to change a few of the names. All the characters just used their real names. And while it'd probably be no feat of detective work to find them yourselves, it'd probably be for the better. _________________ This post has been brought to you by
