Not sure whether this should go in Site-O-Rama, VGG or Misc, but whatever minger. The point of this thread is a legendarily difficult game called I Wanna Be The Guy.

You can download it here. May I recommend beginning with the demo version? Believe me, it'll take you a while to outgrow it.

Time and time again, you will leave this game with disgust, only to return with renewed fervour at the prospect of advancing just a little further. Personally, I've not got past the third screen yet, but I'm damned if I'm giving up on this one.

So this thread is our collective pact to take on this game. United we stand, divided we fall and explode into hundreds of fragments of bloody skin. Who's with me?

I've got to the 3rd screen, and been painfully close to a save point multiple times. I've made it through the apples and onto the clouds - I didn't bother with the other route for long.

@Izzhov - I think that's a cape, if I know what you mean.

Alright, so chzrm and I were discussing the game, and we just realized: there's multiple ways to progress. So, instead of saying "I'm on the second screen," give coordinates. As in, "I'm at (0,1)" if you went up from the first screen, (0,-1) if you went down, (1,0) if you went right, (-1,0) if you went left, (2,0) if you went right twice, (3,1) if you went up four times, left once, and then down once, AND SO ON.

See what I'm saying here? If not, read this article.

In the demo, I was at (1,2), but now I'm downloading the full version, so I'm starting at (0,0) again.

Sheesh, that's tough. Kinda annoying though, cause the difficulty isn't so much about being skilled enough to do what the game requires as much as it is trial and error - which is all well and good when your save file's right above the pit of spikes, but doesn't really help much when you're in the blue lazer field and WHAM, you have to start all over.

Scratch what I said before, this is a beautiful, amazing game. Me and Izzo are currently plowing our way through the right side of the game (we went from (0,0) to (1,0). I'm on (5,0) right now, really fokn hard. But man it's fun!

So I went down from the initial screen, and at the moment I've made it all the way up to (5, -2)... a.k.a., the Bowser battle. Quitting now because it's dinner time and I'm frustrated as hell. Razz

I didn't realize you could go up from the first screen because I didn't know about double jumping. So I just checked out the apple thing and it seems easier than the spike pit by far.

The thing on his head is a ribbon I think. It's only there on medium.

Alright, so, people, whenever you find a screen with multiple exits (not counting the way you came in), post them here, so we'll be able to find all of the routes.
Here's what I got so far in terms of multiple exits:
