Just to let you guys know: The Management™ has been working on (read: getting to when we kinda-sorta-feel-like-it) a set of introductory threads for each of the major boards at FCmidi. The following boards now have intro threads:
- Misc. Forum
- Site-O-Rama
- Gobbledygook
- Video Gaming Grotto
- Media Madness
- Role-Playing Forum
The purpose is just to make clear the guidelines for each board (e.g. how games are run in Gobbledygook, general debating guidelines in Misc. and VG Grotto, etc.). There is also a notice on how long it will take threads in each board to be hit by the auto-pruner.
We still do not have a clear set of absolute rules, but use common sense: general flaming/trolling, off-topicness, and spam rules apply to all boards.
Any questions are welcome in this thread.

A simpler solution to it would have been to delete Gobbledygook altogether, but somehow that didn't fly with the rest of the administration.
I know, I was disappointed too. |
