No, Bucket is trained to interject randomly. See the XKCD IRC logs, where Izzhov got this idea from.

I'm just saying I don't support the thing and will in no way be responsible for implementing the Bucket clone. If Dr. F wants to do it, let him. CM could probably do it too. Maybe.

Okay okay okay, see, the way XKCD has it, it's AWESOME when reading the chat logs. Insanely annoying during conversation, but hilarious for chat logs!

But that doesn't change my vote. I'll just read XKCD's chat logs.

Blank, if you were trying to dissuade people from wanting bucket with those chat logs, you did just the opposite - that was amazing and I am now all for the implementation of bucket.... even if I have to teach myself whatever it is I need to do, to get it on the IRC channel myself.

IRC stats? I have a friend who does IRC stats that could idle in our channel, conceivably, though he isn't on 24/7.

If that's what you meant, Lune. I could do it once my connection is more stable also.

Do you have any idea how long it must have taken to train that implementation of Bucket to get to where it is today? That channel, I assume, is very busy as XKCD has a huge geek following. That, combined with an intelligent creator who can tweak Bucket's code (for the better) on the fly, results in that Bucket you see in their chat logs. Ours would never reach that level of sophistication. Never.
