Rocks are the greatest inanimate object ever. Think of how often they are used.

Also, some rocks have pretty colors in them and people pay large amounts of money for them.

Let us join together and discuss rocks peacefully; keep your rock politics out of this. The election is coming and we know it, so let's wipe this slate clean, if you catch my [s:2d2c41b725]drift[/s:2d2c41b725] rock.

Yeah rocks are pretty cool. You made me envious by picking a better inanimate object (better add that to the list of mah sins you guise).

Except he's technically animate so I'll just go with this rock instead:

Planets are my favorite kind of inanimate rock.

Rocks are indeed awesome. Geodes in particular are wicked cool.

I have a certain affinity for things built out of stone. There just ain't no substitute for a stone house, a stone path, a stone bridge, towers/monuments, etc. Other materials just don't measure up. Brick is all right, but even that just doesn't have quite the same appeal.

I like shooting rocks out of catapults. What sorts of catapults you say? All sorts, but trebuchets especially. My dad and I built one that comes up to a man's hip, and launched a tennis ball out of it (which if you got hit by it after being launched by our trebuchet would not at all feel squishy and you would probably be convinced it was an evil green rock) and since we built it we were convinced it wouldn't go very far.

We were wrong. We learned not to shoot trebuchets in our front yard, for that tennis ball went at least a hundred feet in there air, much more in the horizontal plane, and was never seen again.

But we launched it in parks with rocks and tore up the lawns where the rocks impacted, just for giggles. Ah, good times with my father. That man is such a hooligan.
