I like hats. Lots. I have lots of hats. Lots. I went to the Burlington Coat Factory the other day, and they had lots of hats. Lots. Lots more lots than I have. Lots. But I have lots, too. My lots are not quite so lots as theirs lots.

So here's some of my favorite hats. I know, it's lots.

This is my everyday hat. If I'm running out the door and I want to wear a hat, this is the hat I wear.

This is my Jamba Juice hat. I wear it when I work there or when I go there or if I feel like wearing it. I don't work there anymore, so it's mostly when I go there or when I feel like wearing it, which isn't very often.

This is my sailing hat. I only wear it when I'm sailing, which is more often than you might think.

This is pretty much a basic baseball cap, but it has a logo from my church on it, so if I'm playing basketball at my church I sometimes wear it. We don't really play baseball that much, though, us Mormons, so I don't really get the most use out of this hat. (It's cool to wear it to church activities ands people be like, "Whoa, that's angel Moroni!" Or, "Where'd you get that sweet institute hat?

This is my Timmagraw hat. I lived in a Hick town for a year, so I had to buy a Timmagraw hat and a knife. I use both of them often. It's really a good work hat, but it's fun to wear it places, too. People are like, "yo, hick!" and I'm like," aye?"

This is my newest hat. I got it three days ago at the Burlington Coat Factory, and I haven't had any chance to wear it yet. I saw it from two hundred feet away and was like, "Dude! Awesome hat!" So I put it on, and it was one of the most comfortable hats I had ever put on. (The only more comfortable hat I have is my Timmagraw hat, but that one was expensive- $60) It was on sale for $7, and I decided it was just fate. This one is my new favorite hat, but because of its color, it's hard to match with an outfit. Maybe if you're a girl its easy, but I have to think about it, then send my sister a picture message over my cell phone to make sure my outfit matches.

This one is good when you're cold- it's really, really warm. But if you don't wear it right it can be hard to see well.

Do you guys like hats? Which of my hats is your favorite?

I've never actually been a fan of berets. People who wear them come off as supercilious.

He wore a beret?!

My dreams... are being shattered... before my eyes...

EDIT: After thinking about it, Fred Dibnah is the only person who ever lived who could look humble in a beret.

Baseball caps or hats in that style either make you look like a redneck or a wannabe-gangsta'.

(Or maybe that's just because I'm from the south and that's what everyone is who wears a hat like that around here.)

Someone in this thread is missing a bucket hat. That's all I'm saying.

Well, that, and also +1 vote on fedora hats being inordinately awesome.

Ehhhhhhh... We have gangsta posers and rednecks (especially rednecks) here, too, but most of the people who wear baseball caps here are athletic people. So wearing a baseball cap here is more of a "I like physical exertion and competition to occur simultaneously and frequently," statement than, "I like to go into the woods and shoot things," or " 'Sup, homie let's chill at my crib, what up for real."

If only this forum had an upload-from-computer avatar option. I can't access my FTP.

I basically had that worked out before IAW even started.

Photobucket?
If you're too lazy to upload it, you could always email it to me and I'll upload it to photobucket for you. Heck, I'll give you (or just about anyone else) my login information if you want.

You lazy bugger you.

Dare I say this? But... what's a bucket hat?

Photobucket?

Oh, right.
See, I've pretty much forsaken any "free upload" sites so I totally spaced on that idea.
Hmm!

edit: sexy

I voted for the Scarecrow hat, but the Timmagraw hat was my second choice. Very Happy

Much to my shame, I don't currently own any cool hats. I have two baseball caps -- one leftover from Boy Scouts and one leftover from my high school's Physics & Engineering Team -- but that's it.

This one time when I was like 10, I went to a Halloween party and as a door prize I won a derby hat, which was hands-down the most awesome thing ever. But my head has long since outgrown it. Sad

Shweet! I'm an Eagle Scout. I didn't know you did scouting. How far did you get, and did you enjoy it or no?

What does a high school Physics and Engineering Team do? I mean, it totally sounds like something you would join, but what in the crap did you guys do? One of my sister's old boyfriends was on a robotics team, and they had robot competitions, which I understand. But do you compete in engineering? Like, see whose mini bridge can hold the most weight or something?

That's exactly what I did at my science camp a few years ago. I don't think we won...
